Vysakh is an Indian film directer known for his Mass-Masala entertainer movie in Malayalam cinema. He debuted as director in 2010 with the film Pokkiri Raja starring Mammootty and Prithviraj Sukumaran. His seventh film Pulimurugan starring Mohanlal became the first Malayalam film to gross ₹150 crore (US$22 million) globally.
He debuted in 2010 through the action masala Pokkiri Raja which became the top grosser of the year in Malayalam. His next venture was Seniors which was a comedy thriller. It starred Jayaram, Kunchacko Boban, Biju Menon, and Manoj K. Jayan in the main roles. Indiaglitz said the film “opened to fine responses”. His third film was Mallu Singh, a masala film which was also a success and followed by Sound Thoma and then Vishudhan for which he also wrote the screenplay which “links psalms from the Bible to the deeds of characters,” and “dabbles in profound issues of morality, chastity and sin.” In June 2014, director Vysakh announced his next project Pulimurugan which will be scripted by Udayakrishna of Udaykrishna – Sibi K Thomas duo and will feature Mohanlal as the lead. After being in production and post-production for more than 2 years, the film was released on 7 October 2016 to critical acclaim and achieved biggest commercial success that nobody has ever imagined by creating records beaten many records of Bollywood , Kollywood & Tollywood films .
